Timelapse footage of noctilucent clouds high above city lights. The fast-moving low clouds are lit by the streetlights below, but the noctilucent clouds are lit by the Sun. Noctilucent clouds form at altitudes of around 80 kilometres. The small cumulus clouds that scud by are some 50 times lower. Original is 4K. Filmed in South Dakota, USA, in summer.
