Ultra-high-speed footage of lightning discharges from a TV tower. The upward discharge from the tower was likely triggered by a nearby cloud-to-ground lightning strike (not visible). Also visible are the extremely fast recoil leaders which retrace the faint positive leader channels. Filmed at 1000 frames per second in Rapid City, South Dakota, USA, in summer.
