Male orange-breasted sunbird (Anthobaphes violacea) feeding on the nectar of a pincushion flower (Leucospermum cordifolium) during the mating season. This bird is endemic to the Cape area of South Africa. It reaches lengths of 17 centimetres and feeds on insects and nectar, using its long slender beak to probe flowers and the soil.
