This solar eclipse started at 00:15 UTC and ended at 03:38 UTC on 9 March 2016. It was visible only from Indonesia and the western Pacific. This footage (a series of 13 images) was captured by NASA's Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) on board NOAA's Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite. The total eclipse is limited to the central black area of the shadow. The outer regions experienced a partial eclipse with a portion of the sun's disk always visible.
