Computer simulation of Earth's atmosphere for seven days in July 2005, based on data from NASA's Goddard Earth Observing System Model, Version 5 (GEOS-5). The simulation took two years to run on a supercomputer, and produced six petabytes of data. A category four typhoon is seen in the western Pacific here.
