Okenite. Okenite is a hydrated calcium silicate hydroxide, chemical formula CaSi2O4(OH)2.H2O. Known for its cottonball appearance, crystals are needle thin, white and hairy. It is usually formed in volcanic places, commonly within basalt geodes.
